Exam Prep for the Serious CPA Candidate on a Budget
With a generous grant from the Ragone Center for Excellence in Accounting, Rutgers School of Business–Camden is offering a deeply discounted CPA Exam Prep Program to aspiring CPAs in the NY-NJ-DE-PA area (starting at $450). Recognizing the average time a successful CPA candidate devotes to passing each part of the CPA is 115-130 hours, this course is designed to support students who are committed to obtaining their CPA. With our trusted partner, Gleim Publications, the program is delivered in eight, three-hour synchronous remote sessions by an experienced instructor. There are two options from which to choose.

Instructor Bio – Joseph Honer
Mr. Honer currently runs his own private practice where he does taxation and business planning for individuals, partnerships and corporations. His practice includes working with clients in complex areas such as rental real estate, AMT, Sub-Chapter S Corporations, and future tax strategies. Prior to setting up his private practice, he was a Forensic Accountant for the Department of Justice, where he investigated white collar crime and assisted in the forfeiture of illegally obtained assets. He started his career as a CPA first as an Auditor, and then Senior Auditor, for the Defense Contract Audit Agency/ In this role, he held the lead position on multi-million dollar proposals in addition to his supervisory responsibilities mentoring and training new hires. Mr. Honer received his undergraduate accounting degree from Loyola University of Maryland with a specialization in finance. He earned his JD at Rutgers University his LLM in Tax Law/Taxation from Villanova University. He is a licensed attorney in the state of Pennsylvania and is an Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ASFE) Certified Fraud Examiner.
